PATTERN AND INSTRUCTIONS

Instructions in this quilt kit are for fusible appliqué technique. They can also be used for needle-turned appliqué by adding seam allowances in your preferred size to each pattern piece. The extensively illustrated instructions cover recommended techniques for layering, quilting, binding, hand finishing, and adding tabs or sleeve for hanging.

COLOR PLACEMENT AND TRACING GUIDES

Guides are printed on 20lb vellum paper at full size. The guides do not require copying or piecing together. The tracing guide is already mirrored so that when you fuse the pattern pieces to the back of the fabric, the right side of the fabric will be oriented correctly. The vellum is strong and translucent. It stands up beautifully to handling. The translucence makes tracing the pattern pieces easier and allows you to more easily check the placement of your pieces before fusing to the background.

KIT FABRICS

Due to availability, the fabrics in the kit may vary from the images shown on this website. All of the fabrics in our kits are carefully selected by a textile color and design expert. The fabrics in the quilt kit are the finest quality quilting cottons. They have been pre-washed and pressed before being cut to size.  If you wish to wash your finished quilt, we recommend that you wash it separately on delicate setting. Additionally, use a dye-grabber sheet to prevent any transference of color from light to dark fabrics. Dry on cool or lay flat to air dry. Do not wash your quilt top before quilting and binding.
